Seeking help from a mental health professional may feel daunting for many reasons. Sometimes it’s hard to find the words to describe how you’re feeling, and it’s difficult to know who to turn to. Maybe you’ve had therapy before that didn’t feel quite right for you. Perhaps you’ve been facing certain challenges for some time, or there have been recent events that are causing you distress.
Here, you can use the space to explore the difficulties you may be experiencing, and be supported in a process of self-discovery and self-acceptance. You can express yourself through talking, and also through music, art, writing, and other creative expressions. We would work together, within your needs and preferences, to find new ways of processing feelings and self-reflecting.
You do not need to consider yourself a ‘creative person’, or identify as a musician or artist, to have therapy with me. Our use of creativity would remain optional, adaptable, and led by you. The therapy space is a non-judgmental environment where you will be listened to, and where you will be able to express yourself in your own time, in ways that feel comfortable to you.
Feeling heard and understood can be the most important steps towards positive and lasting change, and I am here to help you find your way.
